Although faith is strength, it is not a vaccination to prevent suffering or an antidote to cure suffering. Many places in Scripture state that hard trials, tribulations, and persecution will come to godly people. The “Heroes of Faith” in Hebrews 11, and Jesus himself, all encountered suffering. Not accepting this fact can lead to disillusionment with Scripture and occasionally even being judgmental of others who are suffering.
