The Bible can be a difficult book to read for a number of reasons, but when it is translated in a way that clashes with the context and our experiences in life it can be very difficult to understand. That is the case with Philippians 4:13, which has traditionally been translated “I can do all things.” The context is about having strength through Christ in all the different situations we are in, whether they are good or bad. Translating the verse properly engenders a humble attitude and fits with the context of Paul being in prison in less than ideal circumstances.
