The traditional teaching that Jesus was crucified with two others is challenged via careful study of the Four Gospels. E.W. Bullinger’s “Companion Bible, Appendix 164” points out that as Matthew and Mark describe two as ‘robbers’, Luke describes two as ‘criminals.’ Further study shows that timing differed between the first two and the second two. Translators also inserted ‘one’ that is absent from the original Greek manuscript.
