This session opens with a discussion of the primordial earth: the chemicals, atmospheric conditions, and timeframe required for the emergence of life from non-life. It explains the origin of the geologic column and its revision over time. The critical lack of evidence in the fossil record for transitional life-forms required for evolution is discussed in detail. The session closes with a look at the various efforts made to find evidence for “early man.”
