Mark’s conclusion to his Gospel follows Jesus through his final hours where he is crucified, burial, and then resurrected. This session explores the prophetic fulfillment of Jesus’ death and resurrection, signs and wonders, and the unexpected people who witness to Jesus’ true identity with the centurion’s confession and the torn temple curtain. Lastly, female disciples of Jesus encounter the empty tomb and hear the angelic proclamation about his resurrection. Mark’s abrupt ending invites reflection on faith, discipleship, and resurrection hope.
