This is Part 3 of a verse-by-verse study of Philippians. Several types of Roman incarceration are described, including Paul’s experience. Paul writes why he was encouraged while in prison and exhorts those who read the letter to advance the good news of Christ. Paul’s focus is the spread the gospel whether he is alive or dead, however, he looks forward to being with the believers of Philippi again.
