People were offended at Jesus Christ, the “rock of offense,” and Christians today must take the risk of offending people in order to stand for him. There is no godly way to avoid persecution if we live godly lives. No one likes confrontation and persecution, but being persecuted for Christ is infinitely better than hiding one’s faith and then receiving no rewards on the Day of Judgment.
