Standing in Evil Times
Exodus 32 reveals the spiritual battle and the need for strong leadership to maintain godly order and discipline in a society. In any large group, there are usually evil people who resist God’s restraints, defy His commands, and follow their fleshly desires or cause trouble for its own sake. Strong leadership is needed to stand against them. Exodus 32 shows that Aaron, effective as Moses’ aide in Egypt when Moses was present, failed to control the people in Moses’ absence—highlighting why leaders must be tested before being fully trusted to lead.
