Paul’s Last Words to Timothy (2 Tim. 1)
Paul was arrested and imprisoned in Rome two times. The first time, he was in his own rented house and was released after a trial. The second time, he was imprisoned in a Roman dungeon and was executed by Nero, likely in AD 66 or 67 (Nero died in AD 68). Paul knew his execution was close and wrote 2 Timothy as his last words and advice to his young and beloved disciple. What Paul wrote contains great wisdom, guidance, and encouragement for all of us.
