Job—Attacked by Satan

by | Sep 6, 2024

There are many lessons in the book of Job, but two particularly important ones are found in chapters 1 and 2. Those two lessons are: righteous people, who love and obey God, suffer at the hands of Satan, and also, Satan is hateful and, as the ruler of the world, has the power to make innocent people suffer. Properly understood, Job does not teach that Satan needs God’s permission to do evil; he has the power and authority to do it on his own.
