Carry Your Candle; Run to the Darkness

This teaching from Mother’s Day 2023 recounts the records of three mothers: Jochebed, the mother of Moses; Deborah, a mother of Israel; and a mother city in Israel and the unnamed woman who saved it from destruction. Each record illustrates the trust, courage, and decisive action of the respective women and the salvation brought to Israel as a result.
