The Messiah is Coming!

Mary is a young virgin in Nazareth betrothed to Joseph. When the angel Gabriel visits and announces she will conceive and bear the Son of the Most High, she is troubled by the greeting but listens carefully to his words. She doesn’t question the promise but simply asks how it will come to pass since she is a virgin. Hearing that the Holy Spirit will overshadow her, and the child will be holy and named Jesus, she responds with trust: “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.”
