Malachi: A Timeless Message
Note: At 46:05 John mentions the figure of speech “paranomasia.” He meant “antonomasia.”
The book of Malachi is the last book of the prophets, and was likely written in the early 400s B.C. However, it does not have anything in it that can be used to positively date it. No doubt God did that on purpose because the message of Malachi is timeless—it contains so many valuable lessons that apply as much to us as to the people of 2,400 years ago. Chief among them is information about the final destiny of the saved and unsaved people.
Verses: Ps. 118:19-22; Mal. 1:1-14; 4:1-6
