Romans 5 is a great chapter of the Bible centered around human sin, Christ’s payment for that sin, and our reconciliation to God. Christ died for us when we were helpless to save ourselves, and he reconciled us to God by his death. Romans 5 also gives some salvation history: how sin entered the world through Adam, and after him every human being is in sin and needs a savior, and how Christ is that savior from sin.
