This video addresses the statements Jesus spoke from the cross. Jesus knew that all he needed to do was ask and God would send angels to help, but he accepted the path to his death. Jesus and the Jewish people knew the Old Testament and its teachings and they would have recognized the verses he cried out on the cross.
